The Rules:

Gather friends (if applicable) around the television. Place alcoholic drinks within easy reach. Watch "F·r·i·e·n·d·s" drinking when instructed to by the following rules. In case of confusion over whether or not to drink, always err on the side of drinking. Enjoy!

Take a sip if:

• Chandler says a Chandlerism.
• Chandler makes a deadpan smart ass response to a stupid comment.
• Joey does not understand/misunderstands something that is perfectly obvious (2 sips if you didn't get it either).
• Monica anal-retentively cleans or straightens up (2 sips if it's not even her stuff).
• Phoebe says a Phoebism.
• Rachel demonstrates her lack of understanding of the real world.
• Ross gazes longingly at Rachel.
• Janice laughs.
• Anyone mentions or sees ugly naked guy or ugly naked gal.
• Any of Joey's sisters shows up (one sip per sister).
• Any of the main characters' parents show up.
• Any of the main characters are shown at work (Rachel only counts if she is actually working while in Central Perk).
• Any of the main characters hug (2 sips for a hug involving more than two main characters, or an exaggerated hug between any of the guys).
• Any of the main characters asks "What's wrong?" (2 sips if followed by "Nothing, it's just that...").
• Any of the main characters kiss a non-main character.

Take a gulp if:

• Chandler is seen smoking (2 gulps if someone asks/tells him to stop).
• Joey tries for an acting part (2 gulps if he gets it).
• Monica's mother criticises Monica's appearance/clothes/boyfriends.
• Phoebe plays her guitar (2 gulps if she mentions her mother or death).
• Phoebe drives the taxi (2 gulps if someone in the back gets hurt when she stops).
• Phoebe's brother does or says something wierd.
• Rachel kisses Ross, or vice versa.
• Rachel argues with Ross, or vice versa.
• Rachel takes an order and/or brings a drink to someone (2 gulps if she does it right).
• Ross mentions his baby, his ex-wife or her lesbian lover.
• Ross gets jealous over Rachel.
• Dr. Greene insults Ross.
• Gunther demonstrates his love for Rachel.
• Janice says Ohhhhhh my god or Chandler Bing.
• Marcel the monkey shows up (2 gulps if he's not with Ross).
• All six main characters hang out in the same apartment.
• Someone listens at either Monica's or Chandler's apartment door.
• Any main character gets mad at another main character (another gulp if they have not made up by the end of the show).
• Any of the main characters sleeps with a non-main character.
• Any of the main characters eats something not considered normal food (fat, leg wax etc.)

Chug your entire drink if:

• You do not clap at the right time during the opening title sequence.
• Chandler dumps Janice.
• Chandler drops his sarcastic, cynical facade.
• Joey offers good love-life advice to anyone.
• Monica goes out with someone who's not a weirdo.
• Phoebe makes an intelligent, sensible comment.
• Phoebe and Ursula get along with each other.
• Ross professes his love to Rachel.
• Dr. Greene is nice to Ross.
• Any of the main characters drinks an alcoholic drink.
• Any of the main characters sleeps with another main character (go to the shops to get more to drink if it's Ross and Monica).

Drink everything in sight if:

• Chandler shows his third nipple / nubbin.
• Chandler goes out with Brian.
• Joey gets the lead role in a Broadway show.
• Monica tells her mother to go to hell.
• Ross kills Paulo or Mark.
• Gunther asks Rachel out.
• Pete becomes Ultimate Fighting Champion.
• Ugly naked guy or ugly naked gal are shown.
