World Championship Trek's

WCT was the brainchild of some Star Trek CCG players from New Jersey, USA - the idea being that players earn league points from playing in weekly, monthly and special yearly Star Trek CCG tournaments.

There are several WCT leagues running around the world, and the top players from each will face off in a special tournament to be held at GenCon Indy 2005 to determine World Championship Trek's ultimate player.

The Team London league is organised by Nick Yankovec. There is a quarterly prize to be given to the best player over a 3-month period, and an annual prize to be given to the best player over a year.

Each Star Trek CCG tournament will be scored in one of 3 ways. A players first tournament in any month will be regarded as their "Premiere Match", and any further tournaments played that month will be scored as "Sunday League". This is designed to give more players a chance of winning, as some players can not attend every tournament.

For the quarterly prize only: 10 bonus points are available for any player beating one of the top three players in the final month of the quarter.

There are also plans for a double point "Champions League Cup" tournament to be held in May and a grande finale in December. Prize giving is scheduled for DragonMeet 2005.
